The new timber retaining wall was built to last, with deadmen every four feet and with rock and a perforated pipe for water drainage. Before they left, they made sure to thoroughly clean the area. "In every instance in which I have dealt with Friend Landscaping and Bill Friend, they have been courtesy, professional and very prompt in responding to my needs. Bill recently came to my house the weekend before the 4th of July when my pond pumps stopped working. He knew my wife wanted the pond operating over the 4th of July weekend for our guests. Even though he had other work, he was able to come over within 24 hours of my call to assist. I am unable to make an evaluation of the price of Friend Landscaping services because I do not know of another company that is willing to come service my pond so I have no ability to make a price comparison. However, I feel the prices charged by Friend Landscaping are fair and I plan to continue using this company."

"I called Bill Friend after a heavy rain flooded our sunroom off of the patio. Being very afraid it could happen again, something needed to be done now. He answered on my first try and actually came out to look at the problem the very same day! That was amazing to me and so helpful. He assessed the problem and told me definitively what it would take to fix it and approximately what it would cost. He even waited around a bit for my wife to get home so he could explain it to her. He was busy, so couldn't get to the job for a while, but offered to come back in a couple of days to do a temporary fix so I could stop worrying about getting flooded again. That is exactly what he did. Within three days I didn't have to worry so much about the next rain and we were on his calendar to get the whole job done. That kind of responsiveness out of a service provider is absolutely unheard of to me! We were ready to hire him on the spot with no other estimates. The work was done exactly as he said it would be, and when he said it would be. It was done well and it works. Bill was courteous, thoughtful and cleaned up as if they had never been here. There were no negatives. This is a high quality, human service oriented company. They actually seemed to care about my project!"

"In researching landscapers online, I saw Friend Landscaping right here on Angies list. His company had numerous very good reviews, and very well rated with BBB, so I contacted him for a quote for landscaping repairs that we were planning on needing to be done in the spring time.

When he came out, we discussed the construction work that had been completed which had torn up all the landscaping. The conversation went to the problems that I'd had with previous contractors in getting the job done, so I still had to get the pool assembled and deck built before I could have him do the grass re-seeding and other repair work. It was at that point that I found out that he had experience assembling swimming pools and offered to get it assembled now rather than waiting until spring. Long story short, he came back the very next day to start the work and had the entire pool fully assembled in 3 days. Cost was higher than I would have paid a swimming pool company to do it in the spring, however he was willing to get it done right away, so that it was ready to go in the spring.

I started my conversation with him just looking for a landscaper to do some repair work, but found out he does so much more work than just landscaping, and got my pool up months ahead of anyone else being willing to do the work, and also spent several hours discussing other items on the project list unrelated to the pool install that I was paying him to do. Lots of very good ideas on deck design/construction that I hadn't considered, as well as proper landscaping materials/ideas around and underneath the deck once built . Extremely professional folks to work with, and provided a huge amount of extra thoughts/ideas on my deck assembly, landscaping repairs, etc. Well worth the price paid in my mind, and I definitely will be getting a quote from him in the spring to do the actual landscaping work, the reason I contacted him in the first place."
